My 8-Year Journey at Code and Core: From Colleague to Friend, From Workplace to Family

Eight years ago, on 1st September 2017, I walked into Code and Core as a fresher frontend developer—nervous, curious, and uncertain of what lay ahead. Would I fit in? Could I meet expectations? Was I truly ready for this journey? Today, as I celebrate my 8th work anniversary, I realize those doubts have transformed into confidence, those questions into answers, and those first steps into a journey of growth, learning, and memories that have shaped me both personally and professionally.
“Where It All Began”
Those initial uncertainties quickly gave way to real experiences—long nights, new colleagues, and small acts of kindness—that would shape my early days at CNC.

“Behind every project, there’s a story… and it started right here.”
Most of our projects were based on the Israel timezone, which meant working late nights almost every day. Many colleagues preferred starting in the afternoon and continuing into the night. Being new to the city, I often relied on local transportation, but traveling back late at night was sometimes difficult. During those times, I still remember Mayur personally dropping us home after extra hours, and on some days, taking us out for late-night dinners after long working hours.
Those simple acts of kindness convinced me that I was in the right place—a workplace where people truly look after each other like family.
“It’s not the late nights I remember, but the people who were there with me.”
In our small team of just six members, most of us had to work on multiple projects in a single day. At first, this was really frustrating because I had to keep switching between tasks and it was hard to stay focused.
Over time, I started finding ways to manage it better—breaking work into smaller steps, keeping notes so I wouldn’t forget where I left off, and reusing code instead of starting from scratch each time. These habits made me faster and more confident. What once felt difficult actually helped me improve my skills in problem-solving, coding, and managing deadlines. Those busy days became some of the best learning experiences of my journey.
“Moments That Made the Journey”
Looking back, what made my journey at CNC truly special weren’t just the projects or late nights—it was the experiences that brought us closer and the memories we created together beyond the office walls.
One of the earliest unforgettable moments was our very first CNC trip to Mussoorie, the “Queen of the Hills.” Between the beauty of nature and adventure activities like river rafting and bungee jumping, one memory will always stand out. I still remember standing in line for the bungee jump—Mayur and I were the last two waiting. We looked at each other with the same thought: there’s no turning back now. The moment I jumped, those few seconds in the air felt endless. For a split second, I wondered, why am I doing this? But hanging in the air made me realize—you have to let go of fear to truly rise and grow beyond your limits. And in many ways, that’s exactly what Code and Core has done for me over the years.

That same rush came years later during our international trip, when we rode the Ferrari World roller coaster—the one that blasts from 0 to 240 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. The speed, the thrill, and the collective screams made it unforgettable.

And if I had to pick one more, it would be our hilarious team outing to the Mystery Room: Escape Rooms. While everyone was busy cracking codes, I tried a little Harry Houdini trick on one of the locks—and to everyone’s surprise including Mayur’s, it actually opened! The laughter that followed was louder than the clues we missed, and even though we didn’t complete the final level, the fun and teamwork made it unforgettable.

From fear to thrill to laughter, these memories turned colleagues into friends and made CNC feel like much more than just a workplace.
Why I’ve Stayed for 8 Years ?
People often ask me, “Why have you stayed with the same company for 8 years?”
For me, the answer is simple: the culture makes it worth it.
It’s the little things—the open discussions with leadership, the way the team supports each other in tough times, and the celebrations after big milestones—that make you feel you truly belong. From the very beginning, I’ve felt that my ideas matter, my efforts are noticed, and even my mistakes are treated as lessons rather than failures.
What makes CNC truly unique is that it has never just given me a career—it has given me a community. Over the years, I’ve seen how leadership values people as much as projects, and how the team always puts collaboration above competition.
So when people ask me why I’ve stayed for so long, my answer is always the same:
CNC isn’t just a company I work for—it’s a family I’ve grown with, and a place that feels like a second home.
The People Who Shaped My Journey
As I reflect on my journey, I want to take a moment to thank all the colleagues, mentors, and leaders who have guided me along the way. Your support, encouragement, and trust have shaped not just my career, but also the person I’ve become.
CNC has never been just a workplace for me—it has been the place where I discovered who I am, both as a professional and as a person. It gave me mentors, friends, and a sense of belonging that I’ll always treasure. My gratitude runs deep.
I’ve made countless friends at CNC—friends who continue to bring laughter, support, and strength into my life. These are not just workplace connections, but bonds I’ll carry with me forever.
The Best Is Yet to Come
As I reflect on these memories and lessons, I feel equally excited about the future, the opportunities, challenges, and milestones still waiting to be created.
CNC has grown in incredible ways, and I’m proud to have been part of that journey. The next few years will be some of the most important—not just for CNC’s growth, but for all of us who are part of it. With every challenge comes a chance to learn, with every milestone a reason to celebrate, and with every step forward an opportunity to build something lasting.
With passion, innovation, and teamwork driving us, I’m ready to keep pushing boundaries and shaping the next chapter together. This journey has been more than just work—it’s been about growth, friendships, and countless memories that have shaped me along the way. For that, I’ll always be grateful.
But the story doesn’t end here the best is yet to come, and I’m excited for the chapters we’ve yet to write together.
“Eight years down, a lifetime of memories to carry forward. The best is still ahead.”
The Day CNC Surprised Me
And just when I thought my 8 years here couldn’t get more special, the team pulled off something that honestly shook me. On my anniversary day, Mayur and the CNC family called me up in front of everyone and out of nowhere, handed me a gold medal and a ₹1,00,000 cheque.
I froze for a second. A lakh rupees? For me? I couldn’t believe it. My hands were literally trembling while holding that cheque and medal. I’ve had many good moments at CNC, but this one… this one hit different.
Because it wasn’t about the amount, it was about what it meant. It was CNC telling me, “We see you. We value you. We’re proud of you.” That feeling of being truly appreciated was worth more than anything written on that cheque. It’s a moment I’ll carry with me forever.
